Custom Design your own Metis sash, hand-woven on a traditional frame loom by a Red River Metis artist from Alberta. Your choice of colors and patterns!
Dimensions are typically 5 inches by 8 feet, but can be customized to suit your needs. I can also make matching bags, hair ties, lanyards and other woven regalia as requested.
Every order comes with a matching keychain, fingerwoven of the same yarn. Weaving time is 4-8 weeks, depending on how many sashes I am doing at one time.
Please note that loom woven sashes differ from finger-woven sashes in their patterning. We can discuss the patterns/colors and I will make a mock-up you are pleased with before I begin. I also make finger-woven sashes in the $1800-2400 range (the price is higher because a finger-woven sash takes 100-300 hours to weave). Adding beads or changing the material type may add extra costs.
