Elderberry Syrup Workshops

Wednesday, Oct. 16th, 6:30-8:30pm

Beginning with fresh elderberries, we use natural ingredients to create a unique local remedy for the cough and flu season. Our syrup is based on a traditional family recipe.

Traditions of the Wolf Willow Rosary

Silverberries are traditionally used to make beautiful natural rosaries by the Metis people. Make your own rosary while learning about the food and medicine benefits of this plant.

Magic & Mugwort – Wickedly Witchy Workshop

Halloween-themed exploration of the sacred Mugwort, named for the goddess Artemis and steeped in traditions from Europe, North America and Asia. Enjoy a pagan’s eye view of this magical herb while crafting a traditional besom broom.

Fruity, Creamy & Spicy concoctions made from exotic ingredients, based on old-fashioned recipes from Europe, Oceana & the Americas. Add a lot of flavour to your holiday parties this year! Samples and snacks make this evening extra jolly.

Medicine of the Bear

Thurs, Oct. 10th 6-9pm

Bears are sacred animals, cousins of humans and teachers of healing. Learn how bear medicine is used, spiritually, emotionally and physically, and engage in a Bear Meditation to ask the Bear Spirit to guide you.

Plant-based Dyes & Watercolours

Plant-based colours are an ancient tradition used to beautify and sanctify clothing, buildings, crafted goods and art. Meet some of the local and exotic plants used to create vibrant colours, and try your hand at painting a water-colour piece with plant-based paints.

Iridology Training Workshop

Fri-Tues, Nov. 15-19

The Iridology workshop is a live, interactive learning experience suitable for students and practitioners at every experience level. This Fast-Track Tutorial covers 8 lessons in 15 hours of class-time, 12 hours of clinical practicum, and includes a personal Iridology Assessment. We will build valuable clinical skills to advance your practice to the professional level.

Balsam Harvest & Medicine Festival

Sat, Feb 22nd & Mar 9th, 2020 11am-3pm
Learn all about Nature’s medicine chest, the Balsam Poplar! Poplar is the Man’s Best Friend of trees. We will brew tree medicine outdoors, and fry some tasty traditional bannock to enjoy with our tea.

Adventures in the Woods Wild Picnic & Plantwalk

A picnic and plantwalk through the soft spring meadows of Kananaskis country! Picnic lunch is included.

Blossoms of Early Summer Picnic & Plantwalk

Saturday in June 2020   11am – 3pm
Return to the mountains to view the flowering plants in all their Glory! Meadows, Prairies and forest landscapes and a gourmet lunch in the wild.
