Wed, Nov. 27th 6:30-8:30pm Batik
Wed, Dec. 11th 6:30-8:30pm Batik
Plant-based colours are an ancient tradition used to beautify and sanctify clothing, buildings, crafted goods and art. Meet some of the local and exotic plants used to create vibrant colours, and try your hand at creating a tie-dyed piece with plant-based pigments, or creating a piece of batik cloth art.
This workshop is open to ages 8 and up, as long as children are accompanied by their parents. All supplies are provided. Please wear clothing that you don’t mind staining – just in case of a spill! We will be working with hot wax and other ingredients, so parents please keep this in mind.
