Herbal Healing, Inc. (Bay G, 2410 2nd Ave SE Calgary)
Saturday Oct. 24th 6-8pm
Elderberries are amazing – they are the traditional flu remedy of the Rocky Mountains! Elderberry was a choice medicine for early Canadians, Americans and Europeans, being widely antiviral & anti-inflammatory in nature. Elderberries can even be used for art as they provide green, blue, purple and red pigments when properly prepared.
Preservation of the medicinal values of the berry, and their high antioxidant value, are a key factor in creating a high-quality elderberry product. Using a traditional Metis recipe, we will explore the vast medicine, art & food uses of the elderberry tree – and make some tasty gourmet syrup to take home from freshly grown elderberries! Don’t miss out on this fun and informative workshop on a truly unique natural medicine.
