Plantwalks & Wild Harvests

Fun Educational & Cultural Experiences for your workplace, school event or gathering! Sustainable wild-crafting practices and safety orientation are included with every workshop.

Adventures in the Woods Wild Picnic & Plantwalk: Let’s Adventure to the countryside and experience the beauty of the plant people. Local Herbalists lead you down hidden trails to their favorite herb-sighting spots. We’ll discuss traditional uses of the plants around us as food, shelter, and medicine, then enjoy a catered picnic while we listen to stories of the plants and ancient peoples who befriended with them. Timeframe: 4 hours. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

Local Plant-walk: Learn about the food and medicine plants used by First Nations & Metis Settlers right here in Alberta. Meet the friendly local weeds who offer us health & healing. Plant walks are available April 25 – September 25 with choice of location. Timeframe: 1-2 hours. Suitable for all ages.

Wild Foraging Food & Medicine: Plants provide us with food and medicine year-round, but different plants are available depending on the season. Tell us when you want to forage, and we will tell you what is available. A food and medicine foraging trip can be arranged accordingly. Timeframe: varies depending on location, season and desired plants.
